How do I act on my first day at a new high school?

I am moving to new school mid-term. if that's not bad enough, I'm moving to a co-ed school from a single sex school. and to make it worse, i know no-body!
so, my question is: How do I act on my first day and who do i sit with and how do i find those people. and please don't answer with 'be yourself' because that is no help!

Um be friendly, I'm moving to a new school this year too, co-ed. Uhhh I plan to get into the class around the middle of the line and sit near a hot boy and friendly girl. That way once I get used to the class I have hot boy to talk to LMAO :D

Ohhh and Idk about the whole friend thing because I'm boarding so I'd obviously have my roommate no matter what, just be friendly and hold a conversation with someone so they can invite you to sit with them at lunch or something.
